Mode of transporation in Iloilo City is public utility jeepney (PUJ). These PUJ had a route in the streets of Iloilo City. People just go designated loading and unloading areas to ride and go to their destination within the city of Iloilo.

"Sa lugar lang" (in proper place for unloading) is a phrase used in telling the driver that you want to get off the jeepney. Even I am still about 50 meters away from the proper unloading area, I would normally tell the driver "sa lugar lang." The driver would usually murmur something “Hindi di pwede manaog!” (you can’t get off from here). Then I would usually say to them that I’m not getting off from here that’s why I said “sa lugar lang”.
Iloilo City streets are very narrow and the city is always experiencing traffic jams during weekdays. The streets only have at most 3 lanes on each way. A professor of mine said that one of the cause of the traffic jams in Iloilo City is the number of private vehicles in the city. But I can see that not only private vehicles, but, in fact, traffic jams are caused mostly of public utility vehicles.
Iloilo City is located in Panay Island, Philippines (see map below). This city is growing fast. Airport of international standard had been opened recently. More job openings and you can see residential and commercial developments lately.
An idea that makes people mad is an issue that can be talked about. Yes, we have different opinion on issues. We have different points of view. But to have an idea that affects the nature of the surrounding negatively will create chaos. Find the source and choose your side. Find it to preserve it or remove it from existence. New things will create an effect to the surroundings to balance it. Change is inevitable. Fight for your survival. Doing nothing might consume the very existence of you. Do your part.
